Okay, some of these questions may be a little similar to Meme-ology, but there are enough new ones in here to justify doing it anyway. Oh yeah, stole it from Wordnerd.
The Food Meme
How do you like your eggs?
Really depends on my mood. I like 'em scrambled, fried, hard-boiled, soft-boiled, smashed, whatever.
How do you take your coffee/tea?
Coffee would be black and medium to medium-strong in taste. I also like Frappucinos. Tea would have to be green and hot or unsweetened and cold.
What are you favorite breakfast foods?
I love plain cereals like Cheerios, Rice Krispies, and Corn Flakes. But I also like eggs, waffles, pancakes, English muffins, and bagels. But these latter ones I don't eat all too often. Typically because they take too much time to prepare. Unless it's a weekend.
Peanut butter: smooth or crunchy?
Smooth Jif. That's the only one I'll eat. Actually, it's the only peanut butter that either Katie or I will eat. The rest just doesn't cut it.
What kind of dressing on your salad?
Bleu cheese, ranch, Italian, vinaigrette, French.
Coke or Pepsi?
Coke. Preferably Diet Coke varietals anymore.
You're feeling lazy. What do you make?
Frozen pizza, grilled cheese, Kraft Mac & Cheese, Spaghetti-o's, Chef Boyardee Mini Ravioli.
You're feeling really lazy. What kind of pizza do you order?
We like a lot of the Chicago chains like Lou Malnati's, Papa Saverios, and Giordano's. But if we're really cheap and want it quick, we go Papa John's or Little Sleazer's.
You feel like cooking. What do you make?
I like making Italian food or some kind of chicken. I also love grilling.
Do any foods bring back good memories?
Almost anything Katie cooks brings back memories of the first time we ate the dish together.
Do any foods bring back bad memories?
No foods, really. However the smell of Southern Comfort brings back rather unpleasant memories of a night of binge drinking and its aftermath with my friend, Frank.
Do any foods remind you of someone?
Fettucini alfredo reminds us of our friend, Jay (MadIrishMan), who cooks a killer plate of it. Any kind of lemon dessert reminds us of our friend, Graham, who is beyond-help addicted.
Is there a food you refuse to eat?
I will try anything once. But if I don't like you that once, fuhgeddaboudit. Olives of all kinds fall in this category. Blech! I even retried them recently and still can't stand them. Unless it's a black olive diced to near oblivion and mixed in with a bunch of other stuff so I don't really notice it.
What was your favorite food as a child?
Grilled cheese sandwiches and macaroni and cheese.
Is there a food that you hated as a child but now love?
Barbecue. I never liked it for whatever reason, but I worship it now. And I also like some meatloaf and stuffing now. Or maybe it's just Katie's cooking of it that makes me like it. Who really knows?
Is there a food that you loved as a child but now hate?
I can't think of any offhand.
As always, steal if you're so inclined.
