Oh you were a vampire...

I really hate when you start to see support for a technological device wane.

Our iMac, despite being six and a half years old, is still alive and kicking quite nicely. Sure, it's a bit slower than it was when we got it and we can't really run too many applications at once or any that are wayyyyy memory intensive. But it's still good for iTunes and web browsing and...

...oh wait, now I'm starting to see that web browsing isn't going to work much longer.

Turns out that there are a lot of websites that require so-called "modern browsers" to function properly. Apparently the version of Firefox I have on the iMac is not "modern" enough. I tried to update it and the new version won't run on my OS. But I have the latest possible OS for a non-Intel iMac.

So I tried to get Chrome. Only Chrome won't work at all on my OS or a non-Intel machine, period.

Safari still works, but for how long?

I hate this.

I was going to donate blood today at a blood drive at work. It was scheduled from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

However, at 9 on the money, a local church brought in a busload of people to donate.

While I'm glad they did so, the 75 people took up all eight beds and every time slot available.

Fine. No Kevin blood for you! And it's damn fine blood!
