I know it's a few days late. For that I apologize. But, all the same, here is my May recap of progress toward my 2014 Goals! Kind of a weird month because of a week and a half vacation that we started on in the final half of the month. But I’m here and still progressing.
1. The Reading Goal:
Read George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire novels 2, 3, and 4
I finished book 3 (A Storm of Swords) about halfway through the month and am taking a break through the end of June to read the Divergent trilogy. But being 2/3 of the way through this goal isn't so bad, right?
2. The Photography Goal:
Shoot and blog about one macro photo per week ("Macro Monday")
Here you go...
3. The Music Goal:
Listen to one new band per month
Lots of new stuff, most of which I started listening to in April but kept going with in May. Grade after each album in parentheses. Client's Authority (A), The Horrors' Luminous (B+), The Range's Nonfiction (B), Wild Beasts' Present Tense (B-), Kelela's Cut 4 Me (C-), FKA Twig's EP2 (D+), and Circulatory System's S/T (D). Phew!
4. The Food Goal:
Try three new recipes per month
Four new recipes this month and I took pictures of three of them. The first (no picture) was homemade spaghetti-o's.
Caprese garlic bread pizza...
Cream of chicken wild rice soup...
Portillo's-inspired chop salad...
5. The Fitbit Goal:
Take an average of 10,000 steps per day
It was a close one due to vacation, but I averaged 10,280 steps this past month.
6. The Blog Goal I:
Convert to new blogware
7. The Blog Goal II:
Post 50% of the year
19 of 31 days bringing my total to 109 of 151 or 72.2%.
8. The Blog Goal III:
Post monthly updates on my progress
Here you go. Somehow I left this one out last month. Not sure how that happened.
9. The Katie Goal:
Read Sue Grafton's alphabet novels, A through L
Currently, she's about halfway through I for Innocent (I think that's the title, anyway).
