As I said the other night, I just wasn't feeling the idea of doing a video with my PBR bull riding footage. Just wasn't jiving. So I'm not.
That doesn't mean I'm skipping my video obligation this month. Nope. Although waiting this long to do it did make me wonder if I ever would get it done.
I opted for a stop motion LEGO set build video. I built the set and snapped photos along the way and imported them into iMovie only to discover I couldn't figure out how to change the timing of the photos as they display. Seems the iOS version of iMovie only allows you to do a Ken Burns effect with still images. No stop motion option. I may have to look deeper into it but I just didn't have the time today.
So I broke open the LEGO Movie Maker app. Once inside, I discovered you couldn't import photos into the app. This translated to me needing to tear sort the set and reshoot the whole thing within the app. Thankfully the app has this cool thing where you can snap your fingers or clap your hands to fire the camera. Next best thing to a remote shutter control.
Interesting aside: I've had this set lying around for a couple years and just never built it. I have no idea why, I just didn't.
Anyway, here it is. I hope you like it. I enjoy stop motion and may try to do it more often.
