Grown-up...

The other day, as I was loading Nathan into his booster seat in my car, he just randomly asks me, "Daddy, will you teach me how to play baseball?"

He's been on this kick of asking us if we will teach him how to do this or that. But they've all been related to something going on in the moment, like trying to fix his LEGO Clayface. So this baseball thing was right outta left field (ha ha).

I said, "Sure, buddy! We'll get you a little bat you can use right now because daddy's bat will be too big and heavy for you."

"Okay!" He said excitedly. "Then, when I grow up, we get me a big bat!"

"Absolutely!"

"I love you, daddy! When I grow up, I want to be just like you!"

And my heart melted.

I totally want to know what he's going to be when he grows up. What kind of tween, teen, young adult, and (hopefully) family man he will be.

It's just wayyyyyyy too soon to think about it. I want to fully enjoy this for now.
