I gotta admit, the more I learn about CBS's Star Trek Discovery, the more I'm looking forward to it.
Yeah, in case you didn't know, Star Trek is coming back to the small screen after 12 years away. I'm still in shock that it's been that long.
This new series, per the trailer, is set 10 years prior to Kirk, Spock, and the Enterprise. This claim is a misnomer as it's still set well after Archer, T'Pol, and the first Enterprise.
I'm a hit-or-miss Trek fan. What little I've seen of the original series I've enjoyed. Same goes for the Next Generation crew. Never watched any of the other series due to a lack of interest and time save for the first season of Enterprise because I'll watch anything with Scott Bakula. The movies are also subject to highs and lows whether they feature the original cast, the TNG cast, or the J.J. Abrams' Kelvin Timeline cast.
But I really like the idea of this show and am completely in love with the casting of Sonequa Martin Green of The Walking Dead in the lead along with Jason Isaacs and Rainn Wilson.
If only I didn't have to pay for the CBS All Access service to watch it.
(The Netflix claim in the poster is U.K. only. Lucky Brit stiffs.)
Yeah, beam me up.
