I realized something the other day. I already knew it, but it just didn’t click, as it were. I’m done driving Nathan to school and picking him up afterward. And, in another five weeks, I no longer have to drive him to and from daycare. At least not regularly.
I swear my kiddo kills me on a daily basis. And I don't mean literally, of course. He's just funny. Sometimes it's intentional, sometimes not so much. Here are a couple gems from today...
After Nathan had a sports day at school about a month or so ago and said he enjoyed it, we figured it was a good time to sign him up for a sport. We gave him a choice between soccer, football (U.S. variety), and teeball as they were the ones that were taught at his sports day.
Is the Lava Game just some kind of ingrained thing for all kids? You know the one... where you declare the floor to be “lava” and you must do everything you can to avoid touching it?
Katie and I had a little bit of home reno fun this past Sunday. We redid Nathan’s room. Technically this is about the third or even fourth time we’ve redone this room in the last six years. Whatevs.
Nathan cracks me up sometimes. Alright, not “sometimes” so much as “more often than not.” His latest? He wants a set of what he calls “battlebots.”
Last Tuesday, Nathan asked me where the camera was on my iPhone so I showed him. He snapped these. I had no idea until I found them the other day.
Nathan is shy one tooth as of this morning.
Today, we attended a Birthday Par-tea for Nathan’s cousin Ava. All the kids were dressed up as though for a full-on tea party.
