For giving me the best days of my life...

I've been told that my blog needs another baby update. Something about how the announcement, that's all of three days old, has become a bit of a "been there, done that" post.

Geez, not like I'm in a hospital with a newborn and a wife who is still in recovery of sorts. But I'm nothing if not a blog junkie and a man of the people, so here's an update on the Nathan front...

I'm a boy, I'm a boy...

"Kapgar 2.0" has a name. It is Nathan Paul. Born tonight, weighing 8 lbs, 8 oz. and measuring in at 20.5 inches long. He has more hair than daddy already.

Born four days past the due date of September 15, but born exactly on his original due date.

Born on the 19th anniversary of the death of my friend Michael Paul Haddad.

Born on Talk Like a Pirate Day.

Welcome to the world, Nathan.

Then the system opened up to Android phones instead of just the iPhone.

Now we have one other new way... and a chance for me to potentially make money as well!

I need time to stop moving...

What is it about day's off not actually being true "day's off"? I remember when I was a kid, having a day off meant that I was running around outside playing all day long with my friends.

Now? I'm doing laundry and flushing a drain in our mudroom and, well, I am watching Doctor Who so I guess that counts as "recreation." Damn, just disproved my own thesis statement. Way to go, Kapgar.

I'm going to shut up now and recap my progress toward my New Year's Resolutions. Sound good?
