Around the time I started having problems with my domain name, I went ahead and launched a redesign of my blog I had been working on. I was up early. Katie and Nathan were asleep still. I had nothing to lose.
The Web 2014
Had something happen last week that was both cool and disconcerting at the same time.
In case you haven't noticed kapgar.com is currently dead.
A-a-a-and NaBloPoMo is officially done! Did you make it? Did you complete 30 straight days of blogging? I did! Time to crash.
Well, until I have to write my December 1 post anyway.
A week ago, I had my mind completely made up against using Wordpress. I even have a blog post saved in my draft folder justifying my decision.
Katie has been an iPhone user for two years longer than I. She jumped on board with the iPhone 3G back in 2008 when she became highly disillusioned with the other phone options available through AT&T.
Ever since Marty and I challenged each other to finish out the month of August by blogging every day, I've been trying to keep myself going with daily posts. New challenges as they arise help me in that endeavor.
Resist the urge to break out into a chorus of Lionel Richie, will ya?
I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could give proper credit. Alas I cannot.
I've been using Vine, the six-second video social sharing app, on my iPhone for about a year and a half now. I jumped on board thinking it would be a cool way to chronicle Nathan's daily activities and growth without going all-out, expenses-be-damned video crazy. And it has proven to be very useful in this endeavor.
Aside from my listening to and posthumous review of A Night at the Met, I didn't really do much of a tribute to the late Robin Williams. Considering how much of a fan I was (and still am) of his work, that's shocking.
I'm playing around with some themes here as I hope to launch a redesigned site soon and, as I was working on subpages, I realized that my Blogroll is dwindling a bit.
I got an email from Comcast the other day letting me know that they were upgrading my Internet service free of charge. Apparently, they've got much faster speeds available and will give it to me.
Today, I got really frustrated with Facebook. I was pissed that they would keep pushing Message notifications thru on the app when I can't use said app to view them.
I clearly don't truly understand the concept of Bitcoins as a news article I recently read left me scratching my head.
Reading Marty's blog post today about the sixth anniversary of his blog (congrats, BTW!) got me thinking about my own "blogiversary" (as we are wont to call it in the blogging community).
What should be my blogiversary here on kapgar?
I love receiving spam email.
I wish I had something substantial to say right now, bu I'm pretty caught up in the season four finale of The Walking Dead. I love the roller coaster of emotions this show presents.
Have any of you been experiencing weird email errors in the iOS Mail app since the upgrade to iOS 7.1 a week or so ago?
I saw this from my friend Lynne on Facebook (no, the *other* Lynne. Yes, there's another one.)
Considering the terrible weather we're currently experiencing and worse to come, it's appropriate.
