We spent part of Christmas Day at my parents' new house yesterday to celebrate the holiday with them and with my brother, SiL, and niece. Down in the basement, my parents have a play area for the kids complete with vintage toys that they'd either kept from my childhood or amassed at garage sales and flea markets in more recent years. I went down to the basement to keep an eye on Nathan and Zoey while they played and found myself rifling through some of the toys and having a little Instagram fun with them.
I know that Apple warns you about the devices that can and cannot take iOS updates. I only wish there was a way to know truly what it would do to your device.

Apple keeps on announcing new features for iOS. In fact, just last month they announced the impending release of iOS 8. It's taken me a while to get around to actually reading what all is included and, to be honest, I'm meh.

Over the weekend, Katie and I got our first Blu-Ray disc player. Up to this point, we'd only owned an HDMI-up converted DVD player for our 42" plasma and a standard DVD player for our 32" LCD.
Back in mid-January, Kim posted about a tech junk drawer in her house and highlighted a lot of the stuff that is in there. It was a pretty cool photographic stroll down Techie Memory Lane and I, of course, wanted to steal it and do one of my own. With her blessing, here it is.
