Katie's aunts and uncles like to send scratch-off lottery tickets as birthday gifts for family members. It's a cool way to give gifts.
Vacations & Holidays 2015
Not only did I give my birthday dinner to my son, but we spent my birthday found things for Nathan.
Last year at this time, it was Gale Sayers. This year, it's his best friend, roommate, and teammate Brian Piccolo.
Earlier this evening, my parents took my brother and I out to celebrate our birthdays. It's convenient to do this together as our birthdays are only six days apart (and four years).
Happy Thanksgiving from Katie, Kevin, Nathan, and Norman!!
Thank you to all our veterans. We are all truly grateful for all you've done.
Although he didn't go out trick or treating tonight due to horrendous weather in the area, our little man did get to enjoy three other off-day trick or treat sessions for which he was dressed up as...
14 years ago today, Katie and I recited vows in front of family and friends and became husband and wife. I like to think that after 14 years, we are stronger than ever.
Today I pulled out the Halloween decorations for my office. Even my Domokun is festive.
That is just sick.
Happy birthday, 'Murica!
There's nothing quite like wrapping up the workday and knowing that you're going home to a three-day holiday weekend with your family.
First, a big Happy Mother's Day to Katie, my mom, my grandma, my mother-in-law, and both my sisters-in-law. You all deserve a day 364 days a year.

If you're able and actually still have one nearby, get out and support your local record store! Why? Because today is...
I realize that this is coming the night before, but since tomorrow is Story Sunday, it seemed okay to use this post to wish you and yours a happy and safe Easter.
Thank you for being the best mama I could ever hope for. I love being around you and cuddling and playing and reading and everything else we do.
Happy birthday, Mama!
Love, Nathan (and happy birthday from Kevin, too!)
Happy Valentine's Day from Nathan!
At the library last night, I discovered something pretty cool. They call it "Blind Date a Book." They wrap a bunch of books in brown paper, write a one-sentence description on the paper, and you check it out title-unseen.
Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you are or did celebrate safely, depending on when you're reading this post. I want you to be healthy as we all sit here anticipating all the cool things that were promised to us in 2015 by the modern Nostradamus, Robert Zemeckis.
