Wow, I couldn't believe it when I heard that Phil Hartman was killed. At first, when they mentioned the "SNL Curse", I thought that he died of a drug overdose like Belushi or Farley. Somehow, I couldn't see that happening. Oh, freaky, as I'm typing this, a commercial for Friskies with Phil Hartman's voice came on my TV. Eerie, eh?

I never realized just how boring a summer can be. I'm not doing anything as of yet. No job... no responsibilities... What's wrong with this you might ask? No income. So, I've been spending my time working on something that will cost me absolutely nothing... my webpage. Thank you to Geocities for making it so that I don't have to pay them. Otherwise, I would really be in dire straits (no, not the band). So I hope that you enjoy all the good stuff that I do to this page. I plan on learning a lot more as the summer goes on.

Hope you're having a good holiday. I've been looking for a part-time job for the summer and I forgot just how frustrating a job hunt is... even just for a part-timer. I've gotten so desperate that I've had to resort to paying for movie tickets with money from my change jar. I've been to two movies so far and paid for both with quarters. Oh, yeah, they were Bulworth and He Got Game. Check out the reviews for them.

I had a little fun earlier today. I was reading the most recent issue of People magazine and a reader wrote in to say that Tate Donovan is "an immature fool" for not being ready for marriage at 34 years old. A little history... Tate Donovan (of Space Camp) has been dating Jennifer Aniston (of "Friends") for the last 2 years. They recently broke up because she was pressuring him into marriage and he didn't want to bite. Now, maybe it's just me, but, if you're not ready for marriage, why take the plunge and be likely to join the growing number of divorcees? So I e-mailed in a response to People based on this letter. Who knows, maybe you'll see it published in an upcoming issue.

[editor's note: it wasn't printed]

Woo-hoo!! Everybody has finally moved out of my hall!! I now have this entire building to myself for the whole summer. Not bad if I do say so myself. I think I can handle being able to blast my stereo and TV til all hours of the night. I can definitely learn to like this.

Well, I'll be! I got an A on my CommTech Piracy Project! Not bad, if I do say so myself. Now, I've got an A overall for the course. I also got back the grade on one of my first papers for my documentary course. I got an A-. That one really shocked me. I wasn't expecting much more than a B on it. Now, if I can only pull that off on the final paper...
