So much for my idea to take it easy. I went in to one of my prospective employers today to get the information for a website that they want me to design. Most of the graphic stuff is done already. I've just gotta write the javascript for it. Shouldn't be all bad. However, I'm not gonna have all the time that I originally hoped for. C'est la vie, eh?

Well, I think I'm just gonna take it easy for a while. My M.A. work is done and I really should not have much left to do. Sound like a plan? I hope so.

Yeeesssssss!!!!! I took my oral exams today and I passed!!!! I now have my Master of Arts in Communication!!!! Woo hoo!!! I'm cool, I'm cool. Thank you everybody for your support. Thank you Katie! Thank you Mom and Dad! Thank you Brian and Becca! Thank you ME! Thank you Mom and Dad Adams! Woo Hoo!!!! Celebration time, c'mon!!

Howdy. Katie and I went to see a pretty good movie today. It was Return to Mewith David Duchovny and Minnie Driver. Go read the review on the Movie page. But, I just have to say, aside from the review (it got a great one from both of us), what really impressed Katie and I the most about the movie was the performance by David Duchovny. Wow! To see this normally stoic chaser of the unexplained (a la "The X-Files") break down and cry when his wife dies and do it believably is impressive to say the very least. I nearly broke down watching him. He was incredible and it's good to see him break his mold.

In other weekend news, Katie's cousin Lauren (we call her "Laurnen") was here this weekend and we all got to hang out. She's ten years old and, apparently, the last time I met her, I scared her with all my "big words." Sorry, I'm not too accustomed to hanging around kids. While she was here, she got Katie and me hooked on a cardgame called Skip-Bo. Kinda cool to see a ten-year-old teaching us big kids how to play cards. Especially one as complex as this one is. And, yes... I'm hooked on the game now. Thanks Laurnen!

I'm back!! It's been a while, I know. But, like I told you before, I've been working on my comprehensive exams. Well, I finished them today and I think I did okay on them. Honestly, I did better on today's questions than I did on the three I had to answer on Tuesday. The stuff today is what I was able to better prepare for. So much to study, so little time. Blech!

Happy April Fools Day!! I finally found out the history behind this holiday. It's actually Christian in nature which I found to be quite interesting. Way back when at the time when they switched to the modern calendar, the beginning of the new year changed from April 1 to January 1. So when people, after that switch, still celebrated the new year on April 1, they were called "April Fools". Kinda cool, huh? See, it is possible to learn something here on the Test Site. And you thought I was all about fun and games didn't you? Shame on you. I have educational value.
