Oldies: September 9, 2000...

Katie and I went back to NIU today to watch the NIU football home opener against Illinois State. Knowing their history of poor football, we weren't expecting much from the Huskies. However, they surprised even us and trounced the Redbirds 52 to 0. Yeah!!! Now that's football!!!

Congratulations to Katie's kid brother Steve who made his high school varsity football debut as a kicker. He went 5 for 6 on point-afters and belted four kickoffs. Pretty damned good if I do say so myself.
