Ain't no use in prayin', that's the way it's stayin'...

Sorry this is so late. Still recovering from our vacation (we only got back last night). So, to make up for it, we'll make this particular weeklong challenge run through the official end of the month. So you will even have a long holiday weekend to complete it.

The three challenge lyrics for the "week" of May 23-31, 2010 are:

Kapgar Photo Scavenger Hunt, May 2010, logo
  • "Feelin' like a freak on a leash, feelin' like I have no release." Korn, "Freak on a Leash," Follow the Leader
  • "Get your rocks off, get your rocks off, honey." Primal Scream, "Rocks," Give But Don't Give Up
  • "The weather started getting rough, the tiny ship was tossed." George Wyle and Sherwood Schwartz, "Gilligan's Island Theme Song"

Don't forget to leave links to your posted photos in the comments. You have until the end of the month at 11:59 p.m., CDT, on May 31, 2010.

Happy hunting!

For anybody just learning about this challenge now, please refer back to the original post for more information.

Here I am setting deadlines even I cannot keep. Oh well. At least I finally got them posted. And they were taken between the valid dates. I have taken my three photos for the week and here they are... "I'm...

Not a big fan of the lyrics this time buddy :( Not that you need my approval or anything, but I thought they would be stellar for the final week. (Don't mind me...just got a brain block on these)

Nat

Oh wow...
I actually like these... I real challenge.

Tug

My mind is spinning & singing the Gilligan's Island theme song...thanks for that. LOL

kapgar

Thanks! I kinda liked them too.

kapgar

Don'cha just love earworms?

kapgar

They can't all be gimmes. Gotta make you work to earn your keep! ;-)

Kevin Spencer

This week I'll get an early start on these. For sure.

Mate, just so you know, I love these scavenger hunt challenges and thank you for coming up with the idea.

kapgar

Not a problem at all. I've enjoyed prepping them. Sadly, though, it's
been the only thing keeping me in the blogging game this month. You
might have noticed a marked lack of non-hunt posts this month. I've
either gotta change that or keep doing hunts yearround.

Actually I do want to do these maybe twice a year for a month span
each time. Hope you'll keep playing.

Kevin Spencer

So I did manage to sneak this week's challenge in after all here.

kapgar

Well that took you like no time. And you were worried. Silly boy.

Becca

Here are my final submissions: http://bitsbybecca.blogspot.com/2010/05/shake-it-like-polaroid-picture.html I am pretty sad to see it end. Thanks for doing this Kev! I hope we can do it again really soon!!

kapgar

Hey now, a lyric is a lyric is a lyric. Nice shots, though.

Nat

Got it done... with a whole day to spare!

kapgar

You're well ahead of me. I may have to stage something to get it done in time.

kapgar

I love the Rocks Off photo, BTW. It does look like he's dancing.

Nat

Ummmm... aren't great photos all about the staging? LOL. (Except for rocks shot, which was more or less spontaneous. He saw me, so he may have been posing.)

kapgar

I'm talking that I may have to do Lego-level staging for these. ;-)

Nat

Oooooh... I have a half put together lego boat that I nearly used ... LOL.

kapgar

I've got a very old school Lego tugboat I was going to use. I've got
some Lego animals for Freak. And I'm not sure about Rocks Off although
I could buy a small Power Miners set, I suppose.

Nat

I'd go with dice... aren't they called rocks?

kapgar

I get where you're going, but I think dice are called bones. There is
something else called Rocks, though. I gotta look that one up. Thanks!

Nat

Crack?

kapgar

A Lego crack pipe could be interesting.
