Not just anybody...
As many of you know, my Hotmail account was hacked and spam was sent out to everyone in my address book. Thankfully that account hadn't been used regularly in years so a vast majority of you never received the message.
However, my Gmail account was also compromised the same day. Nothing has happened using it, but, nearly a week has passed and I still can't access it.
What this means is that I still don't have access to my full e-mail address list or my old Google Reader subscription list.
This is where you come in. While it's fairly easy for me to rebuild my Google Reader list from my blogroll, it has been a while since I've updated it. And I have no e-mail addresses at all. Can you all help me by leaving a comment on this post? No, you don't have to put your e-mail or URL in the body of the comment. You can leave that all in the registration fields for the comment. Your e-mail will not display, but your URL will show up as the link on your name in the posted comment. Thanks!
Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi. I need help.
Wow. That had to suck. I saw your tweets on Twitter while it was going on and felt bad for you. Glad you didn't need that kidney!

Having had a co-worker that had her hotmail account hacked a couple months back (she was able to regain control), I hope you can at least get back your Gmail account someday. It would be a shame to have a spammer using Kapgar.
BTW, when you talked about this the other day on Twitter, I changed my Gmail password... just to be safe (it had been sometime since I had changed it)

This seems to be happening a lot to my friends with Hotmail -- but this was the first time I heard of a similar GMail hack! Hope all can be restored soon...

Mine is now a password I've never before used. Hope I remember it.

I'm glad I didn't need it either. Sad I'm not in Spain though. Thanks for the data.

You're not the first to tell me this has happened to a lot of Hotmail users. Glad I hadn't really used it recently, though. That saved me a lot of headaches. Phew! Thanks for the info.

I'm shocked that people are shocked. Hotmail is a Microsoft product. :-(

Oh that one has rolled in my head more than a few times this last week.

I have so many passwords, it's not funny. I use 1Password to manage them all (also still using SplashID, but 1Password is what I'm migrating to)

I wish there were a way to try that for free because I'm just not getting it from the description on the site and on the App Store.

Check your email. At least for the Mac version. :-)

Were they related incidents or really unfortunate timing?

I'm more amazed that you got hit on both accounts! That's something I haven't heard before.

I was going to do the "who are you and why am I reading this" but I figured it was too soon. Jackie's Hotmail got hacked a while back too. I never got hacked but someone used one of my yahoo accounts to sign up for about 100 job sites so I keep getting offered jobs under the name "Tammie".

Unfortunately, you are not alone. Another friend recently had this happen to them.

You should try accepting one of the jobs.

As word of this spreads, you're gonna see a mass exodus from Hotmail to other services I'm sure.

At first I thought they were related. Now I think it may have been random chance or a screwup on Google's part. But that nobody has gotten back to me from either company is severely annoying.

Since nothing malicious came from my Gmail address I'm inclined to think that it was just unfortunate timing. Well nothing malicious other than a denial of service and access, that is.

I saw that. Thank you. You did not gave to do that.

After the week I've had with hacks into my e-mail and whatnot, I really hope this is legit. But since I see your name on the UGA site, I'm inclined to believe it. So which photo and for which title? Consider my curiosity piqued.

Hey, Agile allowed me to send a free license to someone and as I said before, the timing was perfect. It syncs very well with the iPhone version of 1Password (which unfortunately, I wasn't able to send a free license for).

Complete PitA.

Sadly, yes.

There is nothing worse than your email getting hacked. The swines.
