Resolution slips away again...
Well, the first week of the Kapgar Photo Scavenger Hunt has come and gone and, so far, I'm the only person who has submitted photos. I'm hoping it wasn't too tough. My interpretations are pretty loose as you'll see below. I'll let you see if you can figure them out.
"You say it's your birthday, well it's my birthday too, yeah.
You say it's your birthday, we're gonna have a good time.
I'm glad it's your birthday, happy birthday to you."
--The Beatles, "Birthday", The White Album
"Through my research I have found all it takes
To keep the chickens laying eggs
Is opera or Gershwin played at low volumes on dad's old radio."
--Christine Fellows, "Spinster's Almanac", Nevertheless
"Don't your feet get cold in the winter time?
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine
It's hard to tell the night time from the day."
--The Eagles, "Desperado", Desperado
Feel free to go ahead and post your photos for week one through tomorrow, Monday, December 13 at midnight.
But you can also go ahead and work on the lyrics for week two as well. They are...
My lyric-
"Because the plot thickens every day
And the pieces of my puzzle keep crumblin' away
But I know, there's a picture beneath."
--Faith No More, "Falling to Pieces," The Real Thing
Nat's lyric-
"The favored march up over the hill in some fools parade.
Shoutin' victory for the righteous, but there ain't much here but graves."
--Bruce Springsteen, "Gypsy Biker," Magic
Odie's lyric-
"Cables that carry the life to the cities we build.
Threads that link diamonds of life to the satanic mills."
--Yes, "Machine Messiah," Drama
Have at it, folks.
But we have until tomorrow, right?

Sweet! Good stuff.

Huh? I went out in a snow storm so I could submit a photo... and left a comment in your comments with a link to my blog as instructed. Was there something else I was supposed to do to have been considered a participant? I didn't do all three... but I thought that was optional and we could pick just one?

Nope, you can do as many or as few as you want and the comment was all you need to do really. The follow-up post stating nobody had submitted went live just before you commented. But my RSS feeds, for whatever reason, take hours to kick in. I wish I knew why. But, fear not, you're good to go!

Sorry about that, hectic week and all. I'll do better next week, promise.

No worries. Just making sure not everyone jumped ship on me. Phew!

What? How did it get to be December 13th already? Looks like I have a challenge today then.
Posted by: Kevin Spencer | Monday, 13 December 2010 at 10:42 AM
A double challenge if you're really daring. Get two weeks done at once! I dare you!
Posted by: kapgar | Monday, 13 December 2010 at 11:16 AM
I finally have time this week to actually try to get some done! Guess I'll have to make that Flikr account, after all...

Cool. Looking forward to what you have to offer up!
