And I, I hate your daddy's guts too...
Jerry Angelo... I hate you.
There are some moves I don't mind so much like signing Marion Barber from the Cowboys. But this one agreeable signing is not nearly enough to counterbalance the list of moves I don't like that he's made during this abbreviated free agency period. Shall I list a few of them?
Losing Center Olin Kreutz
Losing Punter Brad Maynard
Losing Tight End Greg Olson (although I'll admit to liking his replacement, former Steelers TE Matt Spaeth)
Losing Linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer
Potentially losing Running Back Chester Taylor (the theory is that signing Barber means that Taylor may not be returning)
Signing Wide Receiver Roy Williams
And that last one is the one that REALLY gets me. I'm not a fan of Roy Williams. He's always struck me as overrated and inconsistent although I suppose that could potentially be attributed to the quarterbacks he's had serving him up the pigskin. I'd like to think I'm wrong about him and, if he proves me as such, I'll be the first to admit it. Sure, our receiving corps is not the greatest and any little bit could help, but for me to accept him as a Bear, it had better be a light-year jump in productivity.
I really want to be proven wrong.
I do.
Please pray for both Katie and I.
Tonight we officially begin a two-month foray into Bikram Yoga.
I complain about the heat and humidity during Chicago summers to no end and here I am about to subject myself willingly to physical activity in heat that could be worse than what we get here thanks to Mother Nature.
What in God's name was I thinking?
I have SO many friends who love the Bikram Yoga, but I am not one of them. Sweat buckets - on purpose? No, thanks. Still - a lot of people love it. You're weird enough that you might. :)
I can't even talk about the Bears or my home team - GAAAHHHHH.

Wow. Marion Barber?!? He's awesome!!! But yeah, bad ju-ju with Roy Williams and let's face it, Greg Olson rocks. He just needs a great QB to throw to him. Sounds like Da' Bears are going to be a running team this season (and letting Chester Taylor go is just silly. Barber can't do it all...but he can come close!)

Well, Barber won't have to do it all as we still have Matt Forte (I hope). But Taylor is just such a workhorse. He's brutal to defensive lines in the red zone and I love him for it. As for Olson, he's moving to a team that emphasizes tight end performance (that's not meant to sound sexual) so he's gonna have a good season. I'm almost certain of it.

Well, I don't dislike it but it was truly brutal.

I have plenty of friends who swear by bikram. To me it sounds like my worst nightmare. Exercising in extreme heat? No thanks! I do love yoga though and know it can be amazing. I hope you have a good time!

It was interesting. Brutal, but interesting.
