Before you break my heart...
Sodomy (pronounced /ˈsɒdəmi/) is an anal or other copulation-like act, especially between male persons or between a man and animal, and one who practices sodomy is a "sodomite". The word is derived from chapters 18 and 19 of the Bible's Book of Genesis.

Wow! I gotta say that following all this news about the child sex abuse scandal at Penn State University has been nothing but depressing. Jerry Sandusky, a former Nittany Lion football coach, allegedly sodomizing kids as young as 10 years old for however many years and then it being covered up by administration? It's just sick and wrong.
Everybody and their mother with a blog or Twitter account has gone into it ad nauseum and I don't really want to delve much deeper other than to ask why it is that anyone in the football program there still has a job?
I read this morning that one of the assistant coaches (Mike McQueary) who, back in the day, was a graduate assistant coach and actually witnessed this Abnormality of Morality locked in the act with one kid, is taking over head coaching duties from Joe Paterno. But considering that he did the exact same thing as JoePa, which is to say he reported it to a higher-up and never followed through with law enforcement, why does he still have a job while JoePa is out on the street?
No, this is neither a defense of JoePa nor an accusation against McQueary. I'm not saying Paterno doesn't deserve to have been let go (and I know a bunch of Nittany Lion fans are going to roar back at me in disgust), but I just don't understand why one stays while the other goes. Is there an explanation why?
I'm sorry, but there are some things that, when they happen, you can just report to a higher-up and let it go assuming it will be dealt with.
Sodomy of children is not one of these things.
Okay, I'm wholly depressed now.
I need to turn around this foul mood with music. Ah, wonderful music! Always my savior and friend.
I was recently turned on to the Tumblr account of Rostam Batmanglij, he being one of the multi-instrumental talents behind Vampire Weekend.
This discovery, in turn, lead me to a site called SoundCloud where many professional and amateur musicians share their music with each other.
It's a truly fun site and one I can see spending way too much time on. Especially since the site features the likes of Rostam...

See? I feel much better now!
I agree about Mike McQueary. He's no more entitled to stay than Paterno.

And I've seen no justification yet as to why he is.

I have met Rostam before when Vampire Weekend played here in Salt Lake. I will have to check out his Tumblr account.
Doesn't seem right that someone that is just as directly involved as JoPa was should be gone, too.
