You can read me anything...

I'm sorry I've been kinda M.I.A. since the last Snippet Wednesday. I've been contemplating my year-end best-of lists. Believe it or not, it actually takes a bit of work.

There is, however, one list I can tear through pretty easily is my Kapgar Best Books of 2011 list.

Why? Because I've only read one book this year that was actually published in 2011. So, even though I have 40 pages left, I hereby declare that the best book of 2011 is Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs.

It's a very well-written book detailing and attempting to humanize a brilliant but thoroughly unlikeable guy. Granted news reports, bloggers, magazine articles, and so much else has talked about nearly every facet of this book, it's still pretty cool to read it all in one place and in context.

You really should check it out.

So how long do you think it will take before Republicans add to their debates an argument that the Obama White House is thoroughly un-American because they allowed Justin Bieber, a dirty Canadian (just a fun little poke at my Canadian friends of which I have many and who I thoroughly love and I truly believe do bathe... honestly) to play at their televised Christmas concert?

I give it 5...

Oh it's another wonderful Snippet Wednesday for all of you. Despite being cold, at least everything is relatively still outside so it's not as bad as it could be. Give it another 25-30 degrees and I'd call it practically perfect....

Do you have an e-reader?

Davedelaney

I heard that! :)

I need to add that one to the list. So many books, such little time. Sigh.

I love to read. Really, I do. But I'm so lazy about making time to read books. And I have so many that I want to read, including this Steve Jobs bio. I might make another attempt at forcing myself to read in 2012.

For now, I will simply wait to see if the book will be under the tree this year. If it's not, then i'll Nook it.

Let me know what you think.

Do it electronically. The book is a monster. ePub allowed me to read it much faster. I hated carrying the physical book.

I give them till just after Christmas.

On another note, did you hear Trump isn't going to be moderating the Republican debate?? I'm so disappointed.

Crap. I hope that doesn't mean he's throwing his hat in the ring again.
