2013 Goals: January Recap...

Month the first done.

Let's see how I did with my 2013 Goals thus far, shall we?

1. Convert old site to Typepad
I got nothing done on this. Not good. Gotta get going because this could take a while.

2. Read the entire run of Kirkman's Invincible
I am now through volume 2, which means I'm done reading the first eight of 100 issues (issue 100 just came out this week). Really good family of superheroes stuff.

3. Listen to one new band per month
I listened to EPs from Haim and Robert DeLong, the latter of which I did review.

4. Watch through season 4 of Sons of Anarchy and season 2 of Game of Thrones
I am through season 1, episode 8 of Sons of Anarchy and season 1, episode 4 of Game of Thrones. I'm really liking both so far although SoA is standing out as superior television programming.

5. Try three new recipes per month
Three new things we tried this month... cheddar butter from an episode of Giada DeLaurentiis' show, pizza bread which was a twist on an older recipe we used to have regularly, and shredded beef sandwiches. The last one we may have had before, but I'm not entirely sure. I'm including it anyway. Oh, and no photos. Sorry.

6. Post at least 50% of the year
21/31. Not a bad start.

7. Run three 5Ks
No progress here. I was going to run the Geneva, IL, Super Bowl Shuffle this Sunday but have not gotten over this persistent cough of mine. I'd rather not run in the cold with a bad cough. So I'm holding off on this for right now.

8. Post monthly updates on my progress
Here it is.

Have a great weekend!

Music and blogging are getting a nice bit of attention during the first month of 2013.

TINTFA 2013 starts next week for me. I took the first month off.

And no photos of the new recipes? Hand over your camera... lol

I figured there'd be more reason than just that to hand in my camera. Like a lack of Nathan shots, for example? So why January off?

I felt that between travel to Vegas for a week for CES and other work-related time contraints, it was best to not push it even more without me trying to obtain some better focus on what I want to accomplish in 2013.

That makes sense.
