It would seem that this post never, well, posted yesterday. Hmmm... not sure why that happened. So here's Snippet Wednesday a day late and a dollar short. Sorry about that.

It's kind of a scummy day today. Started off just dreary but then the rain and the dark kicked in. Combine this with the fact that it's just generally getting darker every day now and, man, I don't wanna be a part of it. Time to go south of the equator, baby! At least there I can give you all a sunshiny Snippet Wednesday!

Even if you and your significant watch almost all the same TV shows, there will always be differences. Those shows you watch that your significant other does not, much like not always listening to the same music all the time.

Even though I swore I was done with song lyrics as post titles, I admit a stronger-than-average desire to bust out some Kiss lyrics for this post. And very appropriate they would be...

I'm in line waiting for a book signing with Lincoln Peirce, the author of the Big Nate comic strip, and just thought I'd take a moment to post a quick funny I was sent today.

Anybody who knows anything about web browsing should be able to get a chuckle from this one.

I'm at home with a sick little kid today.

We're not sure if it's a legitimate fever or a side effect of teething. Either way, he was sporting a 101 fever and was whining uncontrollably at random intervals throughout the night. He did not want to be let go at all. But when we held him, he would squirm to the point where you almost had to let him go.

Today, I said good-bye to the first iPhone I ever owned, my trusty iPhone 4. I've had it for three years and two months and a few odd days beyond that. I've never had to trade it in or send it back for fixing or any of the other problems that smartphone owners sometimes have necessitating getting a new one.

No sirree, Bob. Just this one iPhone for me.

I can't believe I've only really posted twice in the last week. I do so well for brief spurts and then it all goes to hell. Oh well. Howsabout I make up for it with a Snippet Wednesday?

I love you more than you'll ever know, more than I could ever comprehend.

As I've stated before, Katie and I love sitcoms. After a long day of work, it's nice to laugh. And after exhausting ourselves (very happily, mind you) taking care of Nathan upon arriving home, half-hour sitcoms are about all we have the attention span or energy to watch.

Welcome to Snippet Wednesday's first foray into the 40s! I think this should've happened a week ago but I misnumbered them early on this year. Hmmm... well, whatever.

The stupid people of this world make me lose all hope in humanity. It can be something big or even a very minor event. I'll just give up. It's sad.

Every once in a while, though, my faith will be restored by some completely random act of kindness bestowed either upon myself or someone I love.

Home repair scares me. Apparently I'm decent enough at it but it scares me nonetheless.

Plumbing is the worst. It makes no sense why. If anything should scare me, you'd think it would be electrical work. Alas, I'm most scared of a dripping fixture from me screwing up a connection and thus flooding our house slowly and compromising the structure of our home.

Sometimes it's the little things in life.

Like watching the avocado pit grow into a small plant.

Earlier today I saw a picture of myself that I hate. Absolutely loathe.

The shock of seeing it made me realize that I need to cut the crap from my diet. But it's never easy. Especially at this time of year.

I was rally having difficulty coming up with good Snippets this week as the news is inundated with the U.S. Government shutdown, as it should be. But I really don't want to talk about it. I'll leave that to the self-proclaimed political pundits on Facebook.
