I do believe this is it for my Year-End Best-Of (YEBO) lists. And this one is TV! What always makes this one special is that Katie and I work on it together. Maybe down the line when he's old enough, Nathan will join in the fun, as well.

You all may be a little disappointed by what you're about to read. Today was going to be my Year-End Best-Of (YEBO) Movies list. I went through the list of 2013 movie releases on Wikipedia and discovered something rather disconcerting...

Here it is, my official Goals Post list for 2014.
A few quick notes: I'm done with TV watching goals. I'm always so burned out by the show by the end that I never want to watch it again. I'm also reinstituting a photography goal. I got really lazy with photography this past year and I need to pick it back up.

Katie, Nathan, and I are at home right now. I took the day off work to allow Katie to recover from yesterday's oral surgery. And it turned out to be doubly good because AT&T is supposed to install Uverse today.

Today, Katie went in for a bit of oral surgery. She had something that our dentist didn't like and wanted removed. So she did.

Merry Christmas, y'all! Hope you are all spending the day with someone(s) special and not actually reading my blog. Although I won't lie and say I wouldn't be honored if you did read my blog on Christmas. I'd be totally honored.
Anyway, here's a stocking's worth of Snippet Wednesday to tide you through the Yule. No coal. Promise. Do you have any idea how much coal costs? Kids should be happy to get it.

No matter how many years I've spent surfing the web or playing with varied apps and services, I will never understand how other users think.
Welcome to my second Year-End Best-Of (YEBO) list of 2014 all about music! In a few moments, I will detail for you my favorite albums of the year. As always, you must realize that, since I'm not a professional music critic, I'm not just given free albums to listen to. I actually have to seek out albums myself either via purchase, from the library, or loaners from friends. So I really don't have too many albums on which to base this list. Only about 52 full albums and two EPs. It was a pretty sparse year. But it was more than enough for me to pick a ten best.
So here you go, in reverse order (10 to 1), my top ten albums of 2014...

Welcome to the first of my Year-End Best-Of (YEBO). Is it cliche to write posts like this? Heck yeah! It's a gimme post... that requires a year's worth of work. Fuhgeddabout da hatuz. I enjoy YEBO posts.
This first installment will cover comic books that I've read. I'm going to post a list of my top five and then a few honorable mentions at the end of it. You'll understand why they're "honorable," I hope.

It is natural for a band to evolve musically throughout their career. Sometimes, it's just a better grasp of playing their instruments or having the musicians sound more cohesive. Other times, a band's sound evolves to the point where they are almost playing a different style of music later in their career than they were previously.
This post concerns the latter of these two examples. When has the evolution of a band to what amounts to a new sound bothered you so much that you stopped listening to them?

The Fitbits that Katie and I bought a few weeks ago are having the effect I hoped they would... they motivate us to walk.
The other night, I took Nathan to his pediatrician's office after work to pick up a prescription that, for whatever reason, the nurses couldn't fax in to the pharmacy (please don't get me started on that one).
I was Tweeting with Ren the other day and he reminded me of something I have not thought about in years... Nutter Butters!

I've heard of "Friday Five" before, or at least read it on some blogs in the past. But it's been a while and, in all honesty, I thought the trend was dead until I saw it on Nilsa's blog this morning.
If I understand correctly, I basically just type up five random facts about what's going on in my life right now. Nilsa says it's just supposed to be five random musings, but her post seemed to hinge on the theme of "cold." So I will also theme it, but mine will be "weekend." It is Friday, after all.

Damn cold.

Welcome to Snippet Wednesday, fortified with 18 kajillion vitamins and minerals and an important part of a nutritious breakfast... and lunch... and dinner. Or not. Don't quote me on that. These claims have yet to be verified by the FDA.

Continuing on my personal impairment theme.
I've been wearing some kind of vision aide since I was about 10 years old. Be it glasses or contacts, my vision has sucked for just shy of 75% of my life. Katie has the same issue. Nathan is screwed. Sorry, kiddo.
I feel so naked right now. No no, I'm not actually physically naked. I doubt I'd be welcome at work that way. Just proverbially naked because I left my iPhone at home.
*GASP*
Horrific, isn't it?
Thankfully, though, I was able to use Find My iPhone to prove it actually was left at home and that I didn't place it on top of my car while putting Nathan in his car seat only to have it fly off the roof out on a major roadway. That would really suck. Yikes.
I love LEGO bricks. That's a pretty well known fact about me. More like a duh about me.
However, I've been very uninspired by recent sets. Sure, there are a few good ones, but the majority are kinda vanilla as LEGO goes.

The season that you've had, NIU, and this pitiful showing in the Marathon MAC Championship Game against Bowling Green is how you close it out?
Terrible. Horrible. Awful. Ridiculous. Painful.
Sad.

Or lack thereof, as the situation may be.
I want to share a picture of Nathan with you. It's him conquering a bucket of toys. Lately, he's taken to climbing on things. Chairs, containers, couches, beds. He doesn't seem to care just so long as he can conquer it.
The year is quickly winding down if the date on this post and the numbering of this edition of Snippet Wednesday is any indication. Wow! Where did it go? 2014 will mark Nathan's third calendar year of life on this planet. What the what?
How about I just get on with the Snippets before I depress myself anymore?

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the father of one of my longtime friends -- actually my longest-time friend -- passed away. He's been battling health issues for some years and, without trying to sound cliche, I know he's in a better place.
That solace doesn't make it suck any less, though.
Rest in peace, Mr. W. You'll be missed.
Hello, December!
I'm having trouble reconciling that yesterday was the two-week mark since our return from the cruise. I'm also having trouble remembering what it's like to come up with original blog posts. For the last month, I've had three non-vacation posts. Pretty sad. It's time to come back to blogreality and what better way to start than with 2013 Goals: November Recap?
