Eliminating
Did you know that the National Football League is looking at possibly eliminating the extra point after touchdown scores? NFL honchos argue that with only four missed extra points this past regular season that taking the time to kick that extra point is pretty much, well, pointless. While I understand their argument, I actually look forward to the extra point. Honestly, I look forward to any time that Special Teams take the field. For some odd reason, that's one of my favorite times in any game. Don't ask me why. I also know that Katie would be very upset if it's eliminated. Kickers are her favorite position player in the NFL. Not punters, just kickers.

Postering
I am so ridiculously jazzed by the reboot they are doing to Robocop next month. Reboots typically scare the bejeezus out of me, but, for whatever reason, Robocop looks like it might just work. And I really want to see it as a result. Katie, however, does not. She's never seen the original. I'm guessing it will be a mandate with my brother and some friends. Sad because Robo is da man. Well, partly man, anyway. Oh, and I really want to nab a copy of this poster and hang it in my office.

Jamming
For the first time in 12 years, Jamaica is going to have a bobsled team in the Winter Olympic Games! Growing up, Cool Runnings was a favorite movie of mine. I've always loved underdogs and who is a better underdog than people from a tropical Caribbean island participating in a winter sport. The worry was that the team wouldn't be able to raise enough capital to get to Sochi. However, that was resolved yesterday with crowdsourced funding. They'll be there! The good ol' green, yellow, and black! Go Jam!

Bombing
Speaking of Olympics, Russian security forces are on high alert over reports that black widow terrorists may have already infiltrated security in Sochi and could set off some kind of bomb or whatnot at the games. After what happened in Boston last year, it wouldn't surprise me one bit. This lack of surprise also saddens me greatly. If you were an athlete chosen to go to Sochi, would you still with this threat looming?
