My review of Nick Offerman's Paddle Your Own Canoe as it appears on Goodreads (2 of 5 stars):

Hi, I'm Kappy, and I'm a blogger. Got these ideas here in my head. I'm writin' and postin' and makin' friends. Some say I'm best in the midwest [ed. note: there is no validity to this claim]. Singin' yippie-ai-yo-kai-yay. It's Kapgar's Snippet Wednesday! Yippie-ai-yo-kai-yay. Saddle up and take it in. Learn what it means to be unhinged on Snip-pet Wednes-day!!!!
(with apologies to the creators of Sheriff Callie's Wild West)
I love new music announcements! When a band or musician I like (or love) lets us all know that they have some new stuff in the hopper, I'm happy. Just. Plain. Happy.
Welcome to another, albeit less disgusting, edition of Macro Monday!
As you may recall, I've been "reading" the fourth George R.R. Martin novel in the A Song of Ice and Fire series -- A Feast For Crows -- as an audiobook via Audible.
Welcome to a special holiday edition of Snippet Wednesday! I hope you're feeling festive!
This past Saturday, my friend Eric and I attended our sixth annual Pitchfork Music Festival. As with each previous year, we only went to a single day of the three-day festival.
Sorry this Macro Monday is coming late. I took the photos and posted them to IG, Twitter, Flickr, and Facebook. I just never got around to this place because we were taking care of a sick Nathan.
Apple keeps on announcing new features for iOS. In fact, just last month they announced the impending release of iOS 8. It's taken me a while to get around to actually reading what all is included and, to be honest, I'm meh.
Lean back, kick up your feet, and settle in. It's Snippet Wednesday!
Yesterday, I visited a place called 2nd & Charles. They are a reseller of used items such as CDs, DVDs, VHS, vinyl, video games, toys, books, comics, etc. They also sell some new stuff as well. Anyway, I was there selling them some stuff I no longer wanted and went to peruse a free items bin outside the store when all was said and done.
Just another Macro Monday (oh-ee-oh-oh)!
I have no words to describe how amazing this trailer looks.
Funny thing about my TV binge watching Snippet yesterday. Technically, Katie and I are binging on a TV show right now.
There is a fifth dimension beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man’s fears, and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call ... Snippet Wednesday.
Okay, okay, I promise! No more character macros! I swear!
The story of this couple in Atlanta that allowed their toddler son to cook to death in the car in the hot Georgian sun is just disgusting me to no end. That they were running web searches for how long it takes animals to die in a closed-off car? That they were searching for tips to survive in prison? That they couldn't act their way out of a box when confronted by cops (him) and coworkers (her)? That he was sexting up to seven different women including a 17-year-old girl while his son cooked?
Happy birthday, 'Merica!
Welcome to Late Night with Snippet Wednesday! I am your host, Jimmy Apgar (it seems like all night-time talk show hosts are named Jimmy these days, so why not), and let's get right to it, shall we?
And the 2014 Goals continue! Here is my June recap and the final month of the first half of the year. Woah. Where did the time go?
