Macro Monday 2014.38...

Most of the guesses to last week's Macro Monday photo were just hovering around the outside of correct. There were several that got the item correct, but not the more detailed question I also appended on there.

Yes, this...

Macro Monday 2014.37. Give it a guess. Bonus if you guess what the light-colored specks are and why they are there.

...was, indeed, a raisin. Sorry this picture is so fuzzy. Didn't realize how soft the focus was until after I ate the subject. Oh well.

Macro Monday 2014.37 solution - raisin with flecks of peanut dust from trail mix.

But I also asked you to identify what the smaller, light-colored flecks were and hypothesize as to why they were there.

Those guesses weren't entirely correct. Many guessed sugar because the raisin came from a bowl of Raisin Bran. Good guess. But there were actually peanut salt flecks because the raisin came from trail mix. I'll still allow it, though.

For this week's challenge photo, there are no more specific questions. Just guess that picture straight up.

Macro Monday 2014.38. Take a guess!

Have fun!
