Sadly, my short story wasn't accepted for publication by Thrice Fiction. I didn't really expect it to. It is, after all, my first attempt at story writing since high school. But it was fun to write and equal parts exhilarating and nervewracking to submit it for publication.
I'm not upset and I'm not cursing the guys from Thrice for not accepting it. With all the stories they get and their limited publication space per issue, I knew my odds were slim. But I had to try. And I may keep trying. Just gotta come up with another story idea.
In the meantime, I think I may look for some flash fiction sites to which I can submit it. See how that goes.
Oh poop. Did they mention why? Any kind of feedback?
Definitely see if another site will publish it. And keep writing!

So now you submit it to other publishers. Don't let this stop you, Kevin...forge ahead!! Your writing is too good to let it sit in a pile doing nothing. Do we get to read it now?!!!

Bummer. I thought it was a great read. Would be curious to hear any feedback that RW gave. I know the last story I got rejected, he provided some feedback.
Hope the story finds a home.

He said it was good enough that it stuck around beyond his regular one month evaluation period. Not much feedback beyond that.

They said they liked it but with so many competing, they had to cull it down a bit. I will keep writing.

I plan to keep submitting. Fear not.
