Hey all, I've got a couple of questions I'd like to throw your way if you don't mind.

1. With the Super Bowl a mere week and a half away, Katie and I need to plan our team-themed dinner for that evening. You may recall that we try to do this every year with varying levels of success. Now, with Seattle and New England in the game, we've come up with chowder or fish. What else defines New England and/or PacNW dining? Preferably something toddler friendly.

2. Do any of you have experience with using Disqus for blog comments? Positives? Negatives? I'm thinking of trying something new here. Would my implementation of it encourage, discourage, or not affect your commenting here? If you don't know what Disqus is, please don't ask.

I know I've done this sort of post in the past, but it's a nice one to revisit on occasion. It's that post where I ask what music you're carrying with you on phone, tablet, MP3 player, etc. The last...

Despite, at the time, only being a quarter of the way through the book, this happened last night... Gone Girl... What. The. Fuck. Gotta follow that with some Parks and Recreation to ease my mind before I attempt sleep.— KevinIL...

Apples are big in Washington State. Clams are also big up in New England.

Covered clams, technically, with the chowder and Katie doesn't much care for them. We could make apples work, I'm sure.

How about a Philly cheesesteak? The only things I think of with Seattle is fish or coffee.

Perhaps when the Eagles are in the big game. ;-)

What's discus?

Damn autocorrect spoiled my joke and everything :-(

A round, flat disc you throw at a track and field event (rimshot).

You would've gotten away with it if it wasn't for you damn developers and your little autocorrect too.

Since I lived in Boston for 3 years I'd say you're safe going with the chowder OR fish. Both cities are coastal so fish is your safest bet. Also beer (but not for Nathan).

I've only ever used Disqus on other blogs and to be honest, it was highly irritating for me. Maybe they've improved in the past few years (and some of the blogs I still read might be using them without me noticing), but it wasn't the best commenting system I came across. Are you having trouble with your's? Your one of the blogs I haven't had trouble commenting on. (Oh and people with Square Space websites I have A LOT of trouble commenting on their blogs that I just don't anymore.)

I have never commented on a Square Space blog before. I am not having problems with my commenting so much as just the appearance in my new blog. The threaded replies indent so much that they look a little compressed and I was just looking for a new way to display everything.

Disqus doesn't bother me as much as it did in the past... I will use it. Still think it's annoying you have to sign in. Not sure why it bugs me so much!

I think there's an option I could use to allow guest commenting within it. I'd have to look closer.

I'm a bit late in replying to this post, but I would say chowder would be the choice of meal.

Discus comments... i have a Discus account and I've commented on sites that have in installed. I think it's something worth trying. At least that's heads better than going with Facebook, which I loathe sites that use that.

I think you can login here with Facebook but it's one of many options currently.
