10...
I found this over on Nilsa's blog. It's a simple little 10 Questions post to do when you, like I, don't have much else to write about. Don't worry, I'm not burning out. I just needed a gimme today. Thanks, Nilsa.
1. Twitter or Facebook?
Twitter. No question about it. As I've made abundantly clear, I cannot stand Facebook and how so many people are on it espousing their religious and political bullshit without limit. At least on Twitter, I can mute hashtags or just scroll past quickly. That and I hate that Facebook picks what I do and don't see. If I didn't need it for the purpose of admin'ing my employer's Page and Kate didn't like to use it to stalk people, I'd have quit it years ago. Those of you who have quit it, or have never used it, I envy the hell out of you.
2. Morning person or night owl?
I can be either when needed. I don't prefer to stay up late, but it's easy for me to wake up and go take care of Nathan if he needs something and not have to worry about it. But I'm also much more likely than Katie (or Nathan, for that matter) to happily wake up early in the morning.
3. How do you drink your coffee?
When I drink it, it's black. Nothing added at all. I say "when I drink it" because I tend to alternate with loose leaf tea.
4. It's 9 p.m. and you've got the house to yourself, what do you do?
I panic. If I'm home at 9 p.m. by myself, something bad happened to either Katie and Nathan or I'm dead and in limbo. So, yes, panic.
5. What's on your nightstand right now?
A coaster and a Camelbak water bottle as well as a photo of Katie and I from our wedding and iPhone/iPad charging cables. Sometimes a book or my iPad. Don't ask what's in the drawer. Even I don't know all that.
6. What smell do you love?
Ocean water.
7. What smell do you hate?
Diaper Genies. I can't wait to recycle that thing.
8. Other than your current home, where would you most like to live?
Tuscany or maybe the Irish countryside working in a distillery.
9. If you could eat only one nationality of food for the rest of your life, which one would it be?
I'm really having a hard time deciding between Italian and Chinese. Probably Chinese if a gun was put to my head.
10. When you were six years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Easy, an astronaut or a firefighter or Han Solo. Duh.
And you?
Han Solo FTW!
What type of loose tea do you like? I usually get the bag teas because I'm too lazy to bring loose tea to work and also the little bobble thing that the tea goes into.

I was six. How was I to know that Han Solo wasn't a viable career path? As for tea, while leaf oolongs, white tea, and some pu'erh. Not a big fan of green tea. Gives me headaches. I am developing a taste for Yerba mate. And I keep all the tea steeping gear at work. I have a steeping basket and all that good stuff. Once I learned the right way, there was no going back. Tea bags aren't tea. Sorry, I'm a tea snob.

Yeah, I'm also a Twitter person. I did the full on deletion of my Facebook account years ago. This could probably be a blog post of its own (not that I really do those anymore but you know...) but here's why.
- Don't like walled gardens and there's an AOL vibe there with people thinking FB _is_ the internet.
- Facebook is an advertising company. Period. Their sole goal is to mine as much data as they can from you to show you ads and sell your info to others. No thanks.
- Privacy changes and leaking of info without your knowledge. At least I'm in control of what I post and who sees what. On FB, it's anyone's guess as they change privacy settings on you without consent.
- What _was_ all that poking about back in the day? No I don't want to take the "which celeb are you most like" quiz. Oh look, another photo of you drunk with your friends at a pub. Your life must be AWESOME.
- Don't really have all that much in common with some of the people I used to know. Seeing their political/religious posts every day just annoying.
- Have trouble keeping up with Twitter/email/Flickr/blogs as it is, certainly no time for another social network.

Yeah, it is tough keeping up with it all. You should still write the blog post.
