Any of you who have read my blog longer than four months knows that I have readily taken part in the pretty well overdone art of writing up best-of lists at the end of the calendar year. For at least a handful of years now, in fact.

Oh, HBO. You are so clever, aren't you?
I realized, last night, that Nathan is indeed growing up.
This past week, Katie did her civic duty by serving as a juror. It was the first time she's ever been called to serve.
Several years ago, I posted a picture of a toy I found from my childhood to Instagram. I always loved the little guy, but had no idea what exactly it was or what toyline it came from.

Can someone explain to me why Ringo Starr just got inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist? As part of The Beatles, oh he is most certainly a worthy inclusion and already is in there. Solo? I just don't see it.

My inbox has been inundated with emails the last few days about the release of the Star Wars sextilogy (?) in Digital HD.
Howsabout a status update on the reflooring project in the first floor of our place?
While cleaning out our liquor cabinet during a kitchen rearrange, I found an old bottle of beer given to me by my parents. It is a bottle of Mozart beer that dates back to 1998. Or that's what the date printed on the bottle would lead me to believe.

Dear CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and anyone else who broadcasts original TV programming,
As you may or may not already know, the town of Twin Peaks, Washington, is going to be revisited in 2016 with a nine-episode mini season on Showtime. According to Wikipedia, all episodes are being written by series co-creators David Lynch and Mark Frost and several of the stars of the original series are expected to return including Kyle MacLachlan as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper.

It's kinda hard to think about much else when you've got a home renovation project at the forefront of your mind. And that's exactly what Katie and I have going on. Later this week, we start tearing up our kitchen and living room and putting in a laminate floor in place of the living room carpet and kitchen linoleum.
