On Monday, I attended training for PIOs (Public Information Officers) because, yanno, it's my job.

I learned something new this weekend about one of the most commercially successful songs released by David Bowie.

It's one of those days where your wife sends you a text asking if the day could possibly be any longer.

About 15 years ago, I got heavily involved in an online forum dedicated to getting the original cuts of the Star Wars original trilogy released on DVD (yes, pre-Blu-ray). This was around 2001-04 that I was into it and the "only" version of the holy trilogy that existed, per George Lucas, was the re-envisioned cuts that were released in theaters in the second half of the 1990s.

I've been an iPhone owner since August 2010. Prior to that, I had a Blackberry. Katie, however, has been using iPhones since 2008 when she had a 3G.

I graduated with my master's degree more than 15 years ago now. But, even today, I have a soft spot in my cold, dank heart for some of my old grad school professors. Particularly the ones that were part of my thesis committee. You work that closely with people for that long, it's hard not to really like them.

Last week was clearly tough.

I think I've mentioned on here before how Nathan has a predilection for running around naked. He'll take off his pants to go to the bathroom and, when he's done, he'll say, "Want naked time, daddy."

In September 2014, we converted Nathan's crib into a full size bed.

In the wee hours of yesterday morning, Mr. David Robert Jones, more familiar to us as David Bowie, died after an 18 month battle against cancer.

Yes, last week's was pretty easy. Especially since I spilled the beans a bit early.

We Chicagoans, and much of the rest of the nation have been spoiled in terms of weather so far this winter.

For the last week, things have been kinda funky for me technologically. My Fitbit died and my iPad cracked. Sure, the iPad still worked, but it just wasn't the same.

Nathan totally made my heart go all swoony today.

I love when I read something that is written so matter-of-factly that it almost comes off as humorous.

I actually had cause to post this to Swarm earlier tonight.

For another week, I am Fitbitless.

I had a whole other post set to go and suddenly remembered one of my 2016 goals was the reintroduction of Macro Monday!

It's pretty safe to say that a purchase made today might just be one of Nathan's new favorite toys of all time.

Nathan is a loving kid full of pure intention and trust and joy. He will often tell Katie and I he loves us or give us random hugs and kisses or jump up in our laps to cuddle up. He seriously makes life worth living every day.
