I was listening to the most recent episode of the podcast Up & Vanished the other day. In this episode, they were trying to fathom the motivation of a person alleged to have murdered his former teacher, Tara Grinstead, a few years after he had graduated and moved on.

I realize that, at 42 years old, I'm just that... old. Not as old as some, but older than many. And, while 42 may be, according to Douglas Adams, the "Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything," it doesn't mean I really know anything at all.

Based on some of the comments on Facebook to me posting the solution to this challenge photo earlier today, y'all don't know what crema is. What kind of crap coffee do you all drink?

The other day, Katie picked up something new for me to try out, medium roast coffee K-Cups from Trader Joe's.

Just finished Deadpool. Yeah, only took me a year to finally see it.

You remember how I told you that Nathan was obsessed with the soundtrack from Trolls? Well, that obsession transferred to a couple tracks from the film Sing.

When I originally started Tu(n)esday posts five-odd years ago, I did so because Tuesday was the new music release day in the U.S. That changed a year or so ago to Friday to keep it more in line with much of the rest of the music-loving world. 

While I was personally reminded of unhatched Gremlin or Alien Xenomorph eggs, last week's challenge photo was actually broccoli. 

Before Christmas last year, Katie and I had implemented the good ol' "Why don't you put it on your Christmas list?" method when he wanted something we didn't feel like buying. It actually made him happy to hear that we weren't completely shooting him down and it kept our bank account from revolting against us. And, a vast majority of the time, he'd forget what he wanted anyway so win-win!

The other day, I was watching season 1, episode 7 of Stranger Things when a quote from one of the characters caught my attention.

This is another one of those Throwback Thursdays that's not an old photo so much as a new photo of an old object. 

Meet Brittany and Tiffany. They are twin sisters and students at a high school about five miles from where Katie, Nathan, and I live. We didn't know them personally, but yesterday was their birthday. They would have turned 17 years old.

Yes, the Pitchfork Music Festival 2017 roster has been announced and, to me anyway, it seems a bit underwhelming.

As stated everywhere, I'm really disappointed in @lesombre for not taking a guess at this Macro Monday challenge photo. Why?

Not that it has truly bothered me, but Nathan, thus far, has shown zero interest in Star Wars. It's cool, really. It took him a while to develop the will to sit still for a whole movie. Given the choice between sitting down for a movie and running around and actively playing? I'll take activity any day.

We finally went and picked up our pre-order of Moana from the Disney Store today. 

This conversation with Topps, the long-standing trading card company, happened yesterday. Well, more specifically, this conversation with @ToppsBUNT, their digital baseball card collecting app, happened yesterday.

One of my all-time favorite movies is the 1985 nerds-with-lasers classic Real Genius starring a then-unknown Val Kilmer in only his second acting gig after 1984's Top Secret and just prior to his breakout role as Tom "Iceman" Kazansky in Top Gun.

When I said that I knew nobody would get last week's challenge photo, I meant it. I really did just want to see what completely outlandish guesses you might have. 

Have you ever woken up tired and then had two cups of dark roast coffee only to wind up more tired afterwards than you were when you started? Yeah, that's me right now.
