Crack...
It was a sad day yesterday for this coffee drinking fool. Those of you who follow me on social media already saw this either on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook along with requisite lamentation.
But my beloved 20-year-old Bodum French press fell over and cracked.
I got this the summer between graduating from college and starting graduate school when I worked at Starbucks as a barista. They always told me, given the options available at the time, that a French press made the best coffee because it was easy and didn't use filters which absorbed the natural oils of a coffee bean. I listened to them and bought into it and have had this beauty ever since.
Until yesterday, that is.
I'm not sure what I want to do next. There are so many options for making coffee on the go. I'd like to research them and see what you all have to say.
I need something that will work at my desk, doesn't require power if I can help it, and is relatively easy to clean.
Any ideas?
