I always really loved this photo I snapped of a sunset over  the I-88 tollway. It was a wallpaper on my old work computer.

A week or so ago, Katie bought me a little poly bag Star Wars LEGO set for my desk at work. It's a tiny little thing, which is ideal given my small workspace, but it's really cool. It's the First Order Heavy Assault Walker (30497-1), or The Last Jedi re-envisioning of a classic saga vehicle, in this case, the AT-AT. 

I don't expect you to know, but "apagar" is Spanish for "to turn off," as in powering down something such as lights or a TV...

Yanno something? I don't think anyone even bothered to guess on last week's logo edition of Macro Monday. What a bummer. I even thought it was kinda easy. Oh well. 

Remember how gung-ho I was about War for the Planet of the Apes' release more than two months ago? Well, I finally saw it tonight on the big screen. 

It was a weird music day for me today. I was wrapping up a new paint job in our master bathroom and decided to take a listen to the new album Concrete and Gold by Foo Fighters.

Remember a while back when I asked if #YonduOnTerra could be my new #StorminNorman? Well, I took one giant leap towards legitimizing it. I made a new blog.

By way of celebration of his actual birthday, how about a photo recap of Nathan's previous year?

I was really worried about last week's Macro Monday challenge photo. I literally had someone guess it correctly within a minute of posting. But then no one else got it. 

I'm just going to make it simple and give you a bunch of photos from our day. 

I did something last night I told myself I wasn't going to do. I had convinced myself I didn't want to do. I saw the remade version of It in theaters.

It should be obvious where this Throwback Thursday was taken... el Gran Cañon! 

As much as I used to dominate in step challenges in the past, this has not been the case so much lately. Despite rolling back my daily step goal by 2,000 steps, I'm not even making that regularly.

Sometimes, predictive text can be a source of utter frustration. Other times, it can be a font of unending humor. 

I did get an alcoholic beverage guess from Marty, but not the right one. But he was still closest.

This is my favorite kind of weekend.

Katie and I tackled one of those lingering monsters around the house today... the attic. We didn't do the whole thing, but we pulled out about a dozen containers and boxes and put back about four of them. 

It really drives me nuts when I see this...

Nathan asked us this the other day. It caught us completely off-guard and blew our minds.

For this edition of Tu(n)esday/My Favorite Song, I would like to talk about one of my all-time favorite bands. A band that I have known longer than any band and been a fan of longer than just about any other. That band? KISS. 

Happy Labor Day. The irony is not lost on me that Illinois auto mechanics are all still on strike. 

Sometimes Nathan is an open book. You know what he thinks and means with no question whatsoever. He's simple. 

Because we are all caught up on Gilmore Girls, we can't find our Psych DVD sets, I haven't convinced Katie that Stranger Things is something she wants to see, and fall TV hasn't kicked back in yet, we started re-watching The Office on Netflix. 

It only took three years since opening in theaters, about half a year of "possessing" my brother's Bluray copy of the movie, and a two-week countdown to the release of the sequel to finally watch Kingsman: The Secret Service.
