Tu(n)esday: Deadpool...
TBT: Active...

I think I finally figured out some comic books to read in light of the fact that all my current monthly reads will be dead by August. Mostly, like I've said, I'm going to dig back a little bit and read a few dead titles that are still recent, but don't require a month-to-month committment. Maybe I can even find them in the library. That would be nifty!

Godzilla: Rulers of Earth - First up is... KAIJU!!!! I do not apologize one iota for my love of giant beasts in entertainment be they irradiated monsters from the center of the earth or apes from south Pacific islands. I also loved Godzilla: Half-Century War. The first issue of this series seems pretty cool and might just be right up my alley.

Curse Words - I really don't know much about this at all, but the artwork looks pretty cool, I have friends who rate it pretty highly, and it's written by Charles Soule who penned my favorite Star Wars comic arc to date... Lando. I see nothing lost in taking a chance with this. The only issue (heh heh, see what I did there?) is that this is still ongoing and up to issue 15.

Elsewhere - I found this title by just browsing around through those Comixology recommendation boxes that say, "if you like this title, you might enjoy..." You know what I mean. Every website that sells something has them. And this is a five or six issue standalone story with a revisionist take on what really happened to Amelia Earhart. Looks pretty cool in an epic fantasy sort of way.

Domino (2018) - I haven't fully committed to reading this one but after seeing how badass the character of Domino was in Deadpool 2, I may have to look into it further. I'm holding back on this one for now, but it's in the hopper should one of the titles listed above fall through.

You reading anything else you'd recommend?
