I had so many other videos planned, partially started, whatever. I just didn’t want to finish them just yet. 

The other day, I celebrated the return of Karl to the blogosphere as a return of one of my friends I had, ironically, lost touch with because of “social” media (did I use “ironically” correctly?).

Can I tell you how excited I am to see Taron Egerton as Elton John in the fantasy biopic Rocketman? So so so so excited! Not just because even Elton is singing Taron’s praises but also because the Eltaron bromance has finally come full circle!

I have never seen the movie Nacho Libre. I’m hit or miss with Jack Black and this one always struck me as a big tick mark in the miss column. 

The other day, I looked at a truck emblazoned with a Pepsi logo. For some reason, to that point, I had never really paid attention to the fact that Pepsi’s newish logo with lowercase typeface had a weird, um, issue with the “e.”

So I'm still calling this Macro Monday in the title even though, everywhere else, I call it #MiniMusicMonday. Do you think it's time I standardize things? Or is this not that big a deal? If I standardize, should I do it under the "Mini" or "Macro" flag?

Nathan and I went on a book frenzy today. First was a stop at our library. Then came a curious peek into a new independent bookstore in our town. We wrapped with a visit to our local comic book shop. 

When social media took off around 2008 or so, the biggest price was paid by the blogosphere. Bloggers jumped ship for MySpace (although that was basically dead already), Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Google Buzz/Wave/Plus, And lord only remembers what else. 

Remember that movie bracket from — oh when was it??? — yeah, Wednesday. Anyway, a coworker of mine was wondering what the point was. How do you score something this arbitrary?  

The other night, I went out with some coworkers to catch a showing of Captain Marvel. We're all geeks. We revel in it. We were excited to finally see it.

Forget about college basketball! Thanks to io9, we have some real brackets to play with this spring!

Remember how gung-ho I was about Record Store Day last year? Mostly because they had two exclusive cassette re-issues? Yeah, not so much this year.

It’s amazing to me how often Katie and I can rewatch episodes of Parks & Recreation.

Dang it! Totally forgot to mention that, yesterday, we rocked Pi Day in a major way. 

We re-arranged our entertainment cabinet at home and, afterward, while sitting in the couch, the ever familiar dock connector end was shining out at me like a beacon. 

I have nothing against Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin. Well, I should qualify that statement by saying I had nothing against them until yesterday. 

It’s that time of year again. That time when you all tune out while I debate the merits of Friday vs Saturday vs Sunday at... the Pitchfork Music Festival!

One person guessed last week’s #minimusicmonday challenge photo correctly. That was Reuben. I guess it was tougher than expected. 

I had my laptop out today after getting a little work done when Nathan came over to ask me to look something up for him. So I fired up my browser and ran a Google Image Search for what he wanted.

It is done! I have now finished all movies in the individual and shared Alien and Predator franchises. And I feel good!

Earlier this week marked the eighth birthday of my Hyundai Sonata.

As if trying to remember what streaming service is hosting which show wasn’t enough, now I may have to start dealing with this with podcasts, too.

So Steven Spielberg wants to block streaming services such as Netflix from being Oscar eligible?

I'm clearly becoming obsessed. But, if you cannot become (safely) obsessed with a movie, with what can you become obsessed? Yanno, without firing off a bunch restraining orders.

Another month bites the dust. Let’s see how my goals are doing.
