If the roof is faulty, your HOA is responsible for fixing or replacing it. If they have to replace it, the entire unit will benefit with a new roof.

Actually we’re scheduled to get a new roof this summer. The other half of the units here got them last summer. Guess they should’ve gotten to us sooner.
