Two people managed to wind their way through the crocheted loops to correctly guess last week’s #MiniMusicMonday. But Reuben was first.

I’m fairly certain that Dr. Seuss rhymes exist for no purpose other than to torture parents. Prove me wrong.
Tonight, I finished reading a beautiful three-volume/15-issue set of comics titled Royal City by my favorite writer Jeff Lemire. It’s a simple concept, a family from a small town face off against their personal demons while struggling to figure out how to move on with life.
Yes, I know you're all geeking out over the Google Thanos Easter Egg right now. But, sometimes the best things that happen on Google Search are not ones that Google put there intentionally.

I've been debating for a while now what my next Rankings page addition should be. I've narrowed it down to two options. Oh, let's be honest here. I struggled so much that it took me this long just to come up with two. There is no "down."
Have you ever heard of the movie Lost Angels? I have not. But, recently, based on searches for cassettes that I did on eBay (I like to search and follow auctions to see at what price cassettes sell), the soundtrack for this film was recommended to me.

Back when I was doing my old school Macro Monday posts, I would revel in stumping y’all. Since I started doing #MiniMusicMonday, that hasn’t been the case. I’ve enjoyed having people figure it out. I’m really not sure why the difference in reaction.

Wait wait wait... instead of burying people, Washington state wants to pass a law allowing for human composting?? I’m both mortified and morbidly intrigued. I should probably check and see if this is even legit news.
Update: yes
As it turns out, the roof replacement work on our unit will begin at the end of this month necessitating us jumping from DirecTV very soon. But there is good news. We’ve been doing our research and have a good idea what steps we’ll be taking... just a whole heckuva lot sooner than we anticipated.

Katie and I have spent the last couple weeks rewatching all the Twilight films. They’re bad, really bad, and yet we cannot stop watching them. So which are you? #TeamEdward or #TeamJacob?
You ever get asked that question, “If you could have dinner with one person, living or dead, who would it be?” Who did you answer?

It was always so cute to hear what Nathan would call Katie and I as he, first, developed speech and then aged and developed his speech.
I was watching all the Alien-related videos on the Kroft Talks About Movies channel on YouTube when he presented an idea I had never previously considered.

I was floored. Not a single guess for last week’s #minimusicmonday on Facebook. Not even a jokey one. And if there’s a place where I get smart alecky guesses, it’s Facebook.

Is there a threshold number of times that you can check something out of the library before they expect you to buy your own damned copy? Today marks our third checkout of the film Megamind, and that’s not counting renewals of each checkout.
At long last, it is here! The first official trailer for episode IX of Star Wars! To henceforth be known as The Rise of Skywalker.

I feel certain my new mortgage company has zero faith in the sanctity of marriage as their security questions include "In what city or town did you meet your first spouse/partner?" Yes, "first." Because in these modern times, we have to be specific.
Katie got to have some fun this past weekend. She was able to burn some energy on a new project... a distressing of an old dresser. I believe this dresser may have been my dad's at some point during his life. It became my brother's dresser. Then it served as storage in my parents' house. Earlier this year, my parents decided to unload it and we took it for Nathan.

Almost immediately, my buddy Eric came back with the correct answer to last week’s #minimusicmonday.

While I refuse to judge them for doing it, I still get a kick out of how many people I see walking around in public tethered to their music, podcasts, etc., with headphones in or on their ears. I refuse to judge because, well, I’ve been them.
What amazes me most about when people drive like raging assholes is that they reliably do one of two actions while doing so... they either turn away from you so they don’t see you flipping them off or they yell at you like it’s your fault. One thing you almost never see anymore is the apologetic “my bad” hand wave. WTF is wrong with people??

I’ve always been a Nirvana fan in some way, shape, or form. Not always a consistent listener as I’ve had spells where I’d listen all the damn time and others where I’d go months or even years without firing up an album. But the enjoyment and respect has always persisted in the end.
Approximately 10 years ago, Katie and I were downtown with her brother and his wife (girlfriend then) to attend a Rocco DeLuca and the Burden concert.
