How many of you have registered domains on the World Wide Web? If yes, how many registered domains do you have? Have you had others in the past and gotten rid of them? Do you use all the domains you have registered? Do you register domains for ideas you have whether you are even close to ready to actually launch any content?

I ask because I've had an idea for a domain to use and I've wanted to register it for some time now. I just haven't pulled the trigger on purchasing it. Actually, I've had several ideas throughout the years and, yet, I've only ever registered a single true domain. And you're looking at it ( I've owned this domain for almost 20 years now.

But, yes, I've had other ideas come and go and I've looked into other domain names to register and just haven't done it. But there is one right now that I've bandied about for a year and a half. It's an actual site that exists but I just haven't given it its own domain. And I just got an email from Typepad offering a discount on domain registration through the end of August.

For only $8.89, it could be mine. That's a good deal for a .com, isn't it?

So why am I hesitating?

I make no sense.

Yes, and is literally the only one I've ever used. They're all for great ideas and projects that I "never get around to" and then the one year registration is up. And I don't re-register them as either (a) moment is now gone (b) I don't even remember what the idea was.

How many do you currently have?
