I’m being daring this year with the Christmas exchange we do with Katie’s family. In addition to a bunch of cassettes (the purchase method of which I’ve left up to the buyer), I requested a hat. 

I saw the most amazing thing today in the parking lot of Walmart. A janky old Escort drove by me and, although its windows were up, I could clearly hear The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” playing at high volume.

One of my favorite things about my iPhone XR is wireless charging. Oh. My. God. I love it!

I told you’d I’d give you an update on the status of our pipe shelves project. Well, it’s done! Just in time for Thanksgiving. Thank god!

Katie inherited some old plates from her grandmother recently. Her parents brought them down to us late last week and Katie began opening them tonight because she wants to use them for Thanksgiving, which we’re hosting. 

We started a new project recently and I spent today toiling over it in earnest. It’s a pipe shelf that Katie and I designed based on stuff she found on Pinterest. It will go in our kitchen. 

Remember when I ran a survey a month ago to help me pick a scotch? Well, I think I’m going a different direction. 

Tomorrow marks 10 years since my brother and I graduated from the City of Naperville (IL) Citizen Fire Academy. It was a very cool, multi-week introduction to life as a firefighter.

I have been posting daily to this blog since July 28, 2014. Okay, so it doesn't always seem like it's truly "daily." Some posts get posted a little late. Maybe a day or two... or three. Often times it's because I start a post and forget to finish and publish it. But I do try to write every day and then will backpost when necessary. 

Sadly, nobody cobbled together the correct answer to last week’s Challenge Photo for #MiniMusicMonday. It’s one of my all-time favorites as well. 

I think I may just have my Kevin’s 7 schedule figured out for December. 

Gotta admit, Disney+ is all that.

Back when I worked at Aurora University, my buddy Eric (the Pitchfork Music Festival-attending buddy) and I used to take this blue goo that I had for strengthening your hands and forearms and put it on top of toys and other random items and let it "melt" over them for a day or two and admire the results. I swore we used to take pictures of them, but I cannot find those photos anywhere and they pre-dated the iPhone so they're certainly not in the cloud anywhere. So I'm wondering if they actually happened or not.

A friend at work shared a list of 10 Masterpieces You Have to Read Before You Die, vol. 1, from Amazon. In all fairness, it's actually one massive Kindle collection of all the books in a single file you can buy for like $1 or whatever.
