TBT: Academy...

Tomorrow marks 10 years since my brother and I graduated from the City of Naperville (IL) Citizen Fire Academy. It was a very cool, multi-week introduction to life as a firefighter.

Up to that point, I’d spent my whole life wanting to be a firefighter. I even became a licensed EMT-B(asic) and tested with the City of Elgin. The Academy made me realize being a firefighter was no longer a dream of mine. 

But it was fun.
