Over Thanksgiving break, Katie and I bought a Chamberlain MyQ Garage hub kit. We would’ve gotten either a hub or an opener with one built in when we bought a new garage door opener a couple years back but it was still a little cost prohibitive at about $100.

So when we found this for $30, we couldn’t say no.

I summarily forgot we bought it until I found it yesterday. I considered hooking it up until I remembered that we’re hoping to change our internet provider soon and I’d rather not have to change WiFi connectivity in yet another device.

Then I started thinking about all the other devices on which we’re going to have to reconfigure the connectivity.

  • 2 Blu-ray players
  • 2 iPhones
  • 3 Amazon Echos
  • 2 Fitbit Versas
  • personal MacBook
  • work MacBook Pro
  • Nathan’s iPad
  • Nest doorbell
  • Nest thermostat
  • Roomba
  • Wii (if I really want to)

This is gonna suck so bad.

I wonder what’s missing from this list.
