TBT: SW...

I first ate at a Chipotle restaurant in 2004 while on a business trip in a Washington, DC. I was in love.

A day or so later, Katie joined me (we extended the business trip into a short vacation). I took her to my latest discovery. Now we were both in love.

We made trips to local Chipotle restaurants a semi-regular occurrence over the years. We were still pretty taken with the place.

But our love was quickly abating as we watched the prices climb while serving sizes and ingredient quality dropped.

For the last couple of years, in fact, we would rarely ever go. It just wasn’t worth it.

Then Katie heats they had a new protein, carne asada, and suddenly we wanted to try it again.

The meat is so tender and flavorful. Not tough and stringy at all. And there’s very little fat in it. Now we’re going semi-regularly again.

I just hope Chipotle can be convinced to not have this be limited time. If it is, we’ll just stop. Plain and simple.

Per usual, not sponsored. I wish. Just my observations. And post laziness.
