Libroqueue 2020.03...
I did it! I did it! I put together a list of books I wanted to read in the month of September, checked on my progress halfway through, and finished it today! With three days left in the month. And my overall goal is now back on track!
Gawd, it feels good. And, since it feels so good, I’m going to keep doing it. Each month, I’m gonna lay out a queue of books to read in order to keep me on track and honest.
To that end, here’s my libroqueue for October.
Two graphic novels: Bandette, volumes 1 & 2, by Tobin & Coover.
Two novels: The Remaking by Clay McLeod Chapman and Strange Hotel by Eimear McBride.
Two audiobooks: The Only Good Indians by Stephen Graham Jones and Socialism... Seriously: A Brief Guide to Human Liberation by Danny Katch.
That last one is just a curiosity read. I know little to nothing about Socialism. Good to familiarize myself with what I don’t know.
Also got some horror on the list in honor of Halloween with The Remaking and The Only Good Indians. I hope they’re good.
I know my goal only dictates I read four books per month, but a couple of these should be quick reads and I figure I’d rather jump ahead while I can and be prepared.
FTR, I went back and altered the titles of my previous two posts on this subject just to bring everything in line.
Here’s to keeping on track!
