I’m not sure how many of you know or will remember this, but we’ve been trying to do themed family Halloween cosplay. 

Time to pick out some books to read in November. I’m going to try to keep the reading rate up from my average of four. Because... why not?

After four or more years with no signs of mice in our house whatsoever, we discovered we likely had at least one. There were bite marks in the fruit we had in a basket on our shelves.

This month has kinda gotten away from me in more ways than one. I guess that's me explaining why my mid-month and end-of-month Libroqueue posts may both be happening in short order. But, then again, this month didn't necessarily go as planned in terms of my monthly reading goal.

Just as I’ve been saying that they both need to and should do, the State of Illinois is firing up a resurgence mitigation plan for dealing with a pretty major flare up of COVID-19 cases in a regions 7 and 8 around the Chicagoland area. This will begin on Friday, October 23.

12 days ago marked the 10th anniversary of the public launch of Instagram, the photo sharing app that took over the world in very short order. 

Planning ahead can be a good thing. It allows you time to get all your proverbial ducks in a row and, if you fail at it, it allows enough time to plan alternative approaches to resolving the issue. 

I started reading the first-published book in the Chronicles of Narnia series the other day and noticed that my printed copy varied from the Kindle copy in one major way...

We are full-steam-ahead into my favorite month of the year. My anniversary... changing weather... dying leaves... apple picking... HALLOWEEN!! 

Katie gave me my anniversary gift today. It's an Amazon Fire HD 8+ (2020 model year) tablet. 

I’d like to dedicate this post to the woman of my dreams. Still the woman of my dreams after 19 years of marriage as we are celebrating today. 

For the second time, my old HS friend, Stacey (@anyankgoldilocks on IG) nailed the #minimusicmonday challenge photo with Janet Jackson from the album janet.

I would’ve sworn I talked about it here, but I can’t find it. Anyway, this past January, I was trying to swap out the guts of the toilet in Nathan’s bathroom when I shattered the C-PVC water feed into the toilet from the wall.

I don’t usually read Rolling Stone magazine. At least not since I canceled my subscription way back in the mid-aughts. That’s not to say they don’t, on occasion, have an article I’d like to read and then I do.

I know he’s not the greatest candidate. I know he may not be everyone’s first choice.

Yanno what? Forget testing it out. If I don't pull the trigger and launch my new site now, I'm never going to. It's not like I don't have the old design saved that I can't easily revert to if something is completely out of whack, right? 

I really had no idea what I was going to blog about today and then the news came down the wire... Eddie Van Halen, lead guitarist and founding member of Van Halen, succumbed to cancer at the age of 65. 

Exactly the person I expected to get last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo was the one who got it. @EmpressEve with KISS Rock and Roll Over. You’d almost swear I was gearing that one just for her.

Guess what? We’ve got another #PandemicProject in the bag! I think that makes five projects during the pandemic and six total this year... renovating Nathan’s bathroom, repainting Nathan’s bedroom, refinishing the patio table and chairs, front door bench, bathroom shelves, desk, and now this... 

After reading about it for months and hearing the raves from friends and coworkers and god only knows who else, Katie and I are finally digging into Schitt’s Creek on Netflix. 

Roblox... I don’t get it. Not one bit. But Nathan and all his cousins play it and love it, so I guess that’s cool?

Help me! I'm stuck in a whirly swirly vortex of time lost! September is already over? WTF???
