You hear all this talk about people having their identity stolen or falling victim to a scam or whatnot in the news and you think, "Nah, won't happen to me." And then? It happens to me.

Yay! My final year-end Kevin’s 7 list! And it only took me two weeks to write. Anyway, let’s get on with it, shall we?

While I’m really disappointed that nobody got last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo, I’m heartened to know that I’ve actually come up with a photo post idea to tide me through 2021. 

We had a little mishap while cooking here at home today. No, nothing serious. More like oddball hijinks.

There’s nothing quite so fun as loading holiday decoration containers into the attic and falling from the ladder and hitting my lower back and shoulder against a bookshelf on the way down. I hurt but it’s nothing too unbearable. Still sucks, though. 

Merry Christmas, y’all! We hope you and yours are having a safe and responsible, yet still merry holiday!

Okay, sorry, no more Schoolhouse Rock. Though the temptation be mighty! This is about the great Conjunction in the sky... the alignment of Jupiter, Saturn, and Earth that happens every 400ish years and is theorized by Johannes Kepler as being the celestial event that guided the wisemen to Jesus' birth manger in Bethlehem.

I know I’m gonna miss having a pre-planned blog post ready to go every week. But, right now, I’m soooo happy I won’t ever have to type “#minimusicmonday” again. I never get it right the first time. And autocorrect hates it fiercely. 

I was about to preface this post by saying it might be the final Libroqueue post of 2020, but, now that I think about it, it may not be. We'll have to wait and see how hard up I get for content this holiday break.

Chapter 16 of The Mandalorian... oh. my. god.

There’s been a lot of talk, with the release of the new iPhone 12 line, about how Apple has entrenched themselves more with USB-C as a charger but without providing the goods. 

For several years, on and off, I’ve used Breathe Right Strips (or a similar knockoff brand) to open my airways and help me breathe at night and, hopefully, cut down on my snoring. 

As I've done for the previous two installments of this year-end award, I'm going to just build a list of my top TV shows. Not the cool and cutesy categories I used to do. One of these days, I may actually stop prefacing this post with this disclaimer. Anyway, here's the Kevin's 7: TV Shows!

As I'm sure just about everyone who is alive has had to do as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, my family has missed out on events that we would otherwise have done this year. We've missed out on sports events and museum trips and vacations and... music.

Wow! Numero 50. I'm in the home stretch and I'd like to go out with some #minimusicmonday album art challenge photos that should be relatively easy to get. But first a recap of last week...

Out of curiosity, have you ever been reading my blog on the last two months and had images missing? As I try to always include an image with all posts (save Kevisms), if you aren’t seeing one, it would be pretty obvious. 

One of the things you may have seen apt of people doing during the pandemic is to work on projects around the house. These could be renovations, crafts, hobbies, cooking, baking, etc.

I found this Christmas movie bracket on Instagram. It was a sponsored post instead of an account I follow so, no, I’m not going to give them free love here. 

As we can’t do what has become our annual holiday tradition and go on a Park District-sponsored trip on the “Polar Express,” we took part in a new event. 

Much like my K7: Books post, the entries for Kevin’s 7: Comics ‘20 came in just under the wire. Not for a lack of reading comics, but a lack of reading comics published in 2020. I almost didn’t make it. But here they are all the same.

More facepalm inducing than Donald Trump’s antics.

I’m really upset that nobody achieved Sainthood with last week’s #MiniMusicMonday challenge photo. It was, after all, the soundtrack from the Val Kilmer/Elisabeth Shue classic remake The Saint. 

We weren't going to do it. We convinced ourselves not to give in. Not to fold. Not to be pressured.

It's that time of year again. And it looks like I'm up there with legendary Chicago Bears safety Doug Plank and the 46 Defense that Defensive Coordinator Buddy Ryan named for him.

I was scrolling through my Twitter timeline recently when I saw this image posted by Tom Morello (@tmorello), guitarist of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. 

While Katie and I cleared through our bedroom closet a couple weekends ago, I dug out this little gem of a LEGO set I created a long time ago. 

I wasn't sure if I would actually have enough 2020 published books to populate a year-end Kevin's 7 list. But, guess what? I DID! I DID!

I feel like I'm writing these monthly goal recaps every week. Does it feel like you're reading them here with a similar frequency? Ridiculous light speed year that is 2020.
