I don't have nearly as many photos for you today. It was a slow, relaxing day and I tried to stay off my phone as much as possible save for driving directions.

We did hit Redondo Beach today. It's a little further up north from Terranea and it was a beautiful beach...

..although with a ginormous factory about a mile south that looked gutted and totally out of place.

I love the classic lifeguard shack. But it took a lot of willpower to not ask where Mitch was working today.

Parking was easy and cheap which made it easy to justify letting Nathan build a quickie sandcastle.

I don't know what he was truly aiming to construct, but he had fun.

I will always love snake's eye view shots and this sand one is no different.

We also hit two California institutions - Randy's Donuts, which was awesome...

...and Del Taco, which was only so-so. Kinda greasy and disappointing.

Oh well. You can't win 'em all.

I can’t believe we’ve already hit the final full day of our vacation. Where did the time go?? Well, enjoy these photos. I may have more tomorrow from our departure. We shall see. The next casita over Up the hill...

As a huge fan of Frank Herbert’s Dune, I’m hesitant about film and TV adaptations. I mean, really, how do you do justice to such a grand epic?? The original David Lynch film starring Kyle MacLachlan is still enjoyably weird...

Randy's Donuts is so iconic. It's a must see if you're close by. I'm not a huge Donut fan (wut?) but even I enjoyed it.

A lot of places don’t do donuts well. And once you’ve found a good place, those bad places are even worse.
