20 Years...

It's been 20 years since the terrorist attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania. Acts so deplorable that they should have steeled our resolve, brought us together, united us as one nation.

Why do I feel, though, that we are now more fractured as a nation than we have ever been? I was going to compare us to the country around the time of the U.S. Civil War, but I actually think we are worse off now than we were then. 

I want to be wrong. So desperately want to be wrong.

There is never any mention of what boat owners/operators did to save those trying to escape the island. Look it up on YouTube as the 9/11 water rescue narrated by Tom Hanks. These people were also heroes!
