Tailgunner...
This was one of those moments where I wish I had cameras mounted to my car taking pictures in all directions at all times so I could've captured an image of this thing I saw the other day that was just too amazing for words and I had no time or ability to grab my phone and snap a shot myself.
What was it?
Only my favorite car in the world... a 1964 Shelby Cobra.
Those are actually fairly common. So what was the big deal?
Um... it was red!
Yeah so?
And it was armed.
Big whoo... wait what???
YUP! Mounted to a standing tripod stuck on the trunk was a Browning .50 caliber machine gun.
I mean, the assumption is that it wasn't functional at all or he'd probably be off the side of the road every quarter mile with another cop stopping him each time. But dang! This was a beautiful thing and something I would've had a blast (heh heh) driving.
And, no, it's not lost on me that the 1980s G.I. Joe figure renowned for freehand carrying one of these bad boys was named Roadblock.
Yo Joe!
