I'm really happy with how my reading goal turned out in 2021. As stated, I'm maintaining the same 48-book goal for 2022, but adding in the Anne Rice Vampire Chronicles 13-book series as part of that count. Given all that, here's how I hope to see January shape up.

What is the USPS trying to tell me here?
Just as things were picking up, I get a challenge photo with no guesses. Well, other than Steve’s standard James Bond guess. I guess they’re both “spy” flicks.

December 24… Chicagoland… and it’s 48° F out right now. We’ve had no discernible snowfall at all this season and it’s certainly not gonna be a white Christmas. We’ve had more rain in December than snow.
Nathan has his “own” bathroom which basically amounts to the off-suite hallway bathroom upstairs in our house. When he’s going to have guests over, we pull the shower curtain closed in his bathroom just to give it the added illusion of cleanliness.
It's the time... of the season... for go-oals!

I had so many people guessing on last week’s #MiniMoviePosterMonday challenge photo… Speed, Taking of Pelham 1-2-3, Polar Express, anything with a train basically.

What the devil is that post title? They're sounds. Utterances, really. In triple-double pairings. Ki-Ki-Ki-Ma-Ma-Ma and Ch-Ch-Ch-Aw-Aw-Aw. Both are arguably the sounds that make up the infamous soundtrack music that plays when Jason Voorhees is in the process of stalking and killing someone in one of the many Friday the 13th movies.

On with the second installment of Kevin's 7 year-end awards for 2021... Words '21! This one, as discussed earlier, will focus on any multimedia content that is traditionally accepted to be based on print... books, comics, and audiobooks. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't matter that they are being consumed via printed matter, tablet, or audiobook reader.

I know I’ve been talking about quitting #MiniMoviePosterMonday. But, the more I think about it, the more I think I may just keep it going. I’m actually considering cross posting to a Cinephiles channel in my work Slack.

Freaking Artie is juicing it up these days. And with Cap’s help, no less.

I was just waiting at the bus stop for Nathan to get home and one of our neighbors was there with her 1.5YO daughter. We were talking and suddenly the daughter points at me and says, “It's daddy!”
21 years ago, upon graduation from grad school, Katie and I dove into Sex and the City. It was already most of the way through the run of the show but we could get it from the library on DVD and I had my first DVD player in the form of a ROM drive in the side of my PowerBook G3… coincidentally, the same model used in the show by Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) when writing her column.

You can take the toys away from the boy (no, you can't), but you can never kill the boy's love for all things dinosaurs. And if this five-minute mini movie that was recently released as a promo for next year's Jurassic World: Dominion doesn't just continue to stoke the flames of dino fandom in my heart, nothing can.

Some of my longtime readers may be looking at the title of this post wondering what the heck is going on. "Audio '21"?? Not "Music '21" or "Podcasts '21" or something like that? Nope. I'm consolidating my efforts with the Kevin's 7 year-end awards shows. No need to have five red carpets when you can have just three!

I got a new winner on #MiniMoviePosterMonday this past week. It was my coworker Chelsey with Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. Great movie, BTW. One of my more recent faves.

I'm up to my John Lynch year...
Everyone… literally everyone… is out of the gift we want to get for a certain someone. And they won’t have it in stock until mid-January at the earliest.
My 2021 reading goal is complete. Let’s see what books helped kick me over the finish line!

Crap. I started this post and completely forgot to finish and post it. And I haven’t done my Libroqueue post either. Ugh. I knew there were posts I needed to do this week.
